# Chunk search

Chunk search provides us a way to search through parts of a document. For example - you may have a paragraph of text. You can then split up that paragraph of text into sentences and then create a `chunkvector` out of each. You can then search through the chunkvectors to obtain the most relevant part of that paragraph for your needs. 

Chunkvectors can be useful for improving the explainability of search. If you are interested in testing chunk search out, there are a few endpoints (all with guides written to them and use cases).
